An interesting thing happened at the film festival last week. The Christiano brothers, pioneers in the Christian film industry, were lecturing on what makes a great Christian film. They are unyielding in their belief that if a film calls itself Christian, there should be a presentation of the Gospel. Anything else risks watering down the Gospel and I believe it is fair to say they aren't happy with several new films. One girl spoke up and politely but firmly accused the brothers of being judgmental toward other filmmakers. To their credit, the brothers took the criticism and defended their position. I thought this would be a great topic for discussion on our Zoom meeting this week! Let's talk faith films and books. So, please join me THIS Thursday, May 16 at 8:00 pm EST by clicking here. |
